Get ready, Shudder Mutants and horror hounds! The Free Library of Philadelphia is thrilled to welcome the one and only Joe Bob Briggs, America's foremost drive-in movie critic and host of The Last Drive-In, for a very special, one-time only matinee presentation of the 2002 cult classic, BUBBA HO-TEP!

About Joe Bob: Joe Bob Briggs is a legendary film critic, horror host, and prolific author who has fiercely championed exploitation and cult cinema for decades. As the host of the classic shows, Joe Bob's Drive-In Theater, MonsterVision, and the current Shudder hit, The Last Drive-In with Joe Bob Briggs, he is America's foremost expert on B-movies, drive-in cinema, and the world’s weirdest and wildest films.

About the Film: Don Coscarelli's brilliant and bizarre horror-comedy asks the question: What if Elvis Presley (played by Bruce Campbell) didn't die in 1977? What if he simply switched places with an impersonator and is now living out his twilight years in an East Texas nursing home? Things get complicated when he and his only friend, a man who claims to be John F. Kennedy, (Ossie Davis) discover that an ancient, soul-sucking Egyptian mummy is preying on the residents. Bubba Ho-Tep is a wild, hilarious, and often thoughtful meditation on aging, celebrity, and fighting for your dignity.

The Joe Bob Experience: As only Joe Bob can, he will introduce the film with his renowned drive-in expertise, offering live commentary with his signature humor, film history, and the famous drive-in totals. Following the film, Joe Bob will return for a Q&A session, giving the audience a chance to ask the horror legend their burning questions.
