The Digital Impact Game
Overview
Join us for an engaging workshop designed to raise awareness about the environmental challenges posed by digital technology.
What you can expect:
📊 Trusted Data, Real Insights This workshop is grounded in facts from internationally recognized sources such as EcoInfo CNRS, ADEME, The Shift Project, IPCC, International Energy Agency, UNEP, IPBES, and The Global E-waste Monitor. You'll work with reliable data to explore the full lifecycle of digital devices—from production to usage to end-of-life
🧠 Understanding Through Creation Participants will collaboratively build a visual collage using diagrams, links, and key facts. This hands-on activity helps map the environmental impact of digital technology and debunk common myths—like the idea that data centers are the main source of digital pollution.
🎨 Creativity Meets Collaboration Teams will illustrate their findings, craft compelling messages, and choose a title for their collage. This creative process fosters deeper learning and team spirit.
✅ From Awareness to Action The workshop concludes with a review of 20 action cards. Participants will identify the most relevant actions for their roles.
The workshop will be facilitated by Sérgio Jacinto. He is a seasoned manager in healthcare who after 19 years decided to change his career trajectory to pursue the commitment to bridging traditional economy and environmental sustainability.
!IMPORTANT!: If you would like to join for a self-funded dinner afterwards, please let us know via email (amsterdam@netimpact.org) by latest November 3rd, then we can arrange a reservation.
