About this event
Think your favorite coffee shop energy meets creative study hall. That's what The Creatively Caffeinated Crew meetup is! Once a month, we're pulling up with our to-do lists, our favorite vinyls, and our BIG ideas to get some real work done, together!
This isn't just a work session, it's a space for Black creatives and entrepreneurs to connect, inspire, and share tips about building and scaling our brands. Whether you're a planning content, editing photos, ordering product for the holiday season, or just need some accountability to tackle that list, The Creatively Caffeinated Crew is the space to plug in and lock in!
🎶 The soundtrack? A rotating playlist of vinyls from the community.☕ The fuel? A good cup of coffee.💡 The goal? Productivity, connection, and a space to talk branding needs in real time.
Bring your list, bring your records, and bring yourself. Let’s build, vibe, and grow, together.
Meet the Host
When vintage enthusiast, creative powerhouse, cultural pathfinder and community proponent, Nekeyeta Newkirk, enters a room, she makes an immediate and unforgettable impression that resonates even more with each successive spin.
A Southern born, globally-raised, and island-groomed stylist, Nekeyeta delivers original fashion for the Plus body with an attitude brimming with creativity and soulfulness. Born in Raleigh, North Carolina into a military family, Nekeyeta spent her childhood living in the US, Europe and the Pacific Islands. Fused experiences and introductions to diverse cultures developed her keen fashion sense, inspiring the unique, inclusive style that she is infamous for.
Her deep understanding of style and human connection became a launching pad for her career, establishing her first company, byKikiSol, in 2014. An empowerment and style resource, this opportunity begat successful follow-up initiatives, including: The F.A.B Society {Femmes & Bois}, a focus on visibility of LGBTIA people of color in media; The Key to Style, a creative epicenter for fashion professionals and creative marketing direction, and The Co/Lab Collective, a virtual hub and information source for creatives & professionals of color. In 2018, Nekeyeta launched Denise & Friends Vintage Boutique, her late mother’s namesake and an online shop offering fun, eclectic, and sustainable alternatives to fast fashion for Plus women and men.
With a talent rivaled only by her unstoppable hustle, the thread that connects Nekeyeta’s work is her goal to inspire, aspire, and support those often overlooked by society. She is a conscious blend of electric energy, soulful style and powerhouse genius who is doing her part to build an inclusive platform for untold style stories, including her own.
