The Book Stall is thrilled to welcome author Virginia Evans to the Winnetka Chapel on Tuesday, November 11 at 6:30 pm for a discussion featuring her runaway bestselling book, The Correspondent. A woman tries to heal old wounds and make sense of the world the only way she knows how—through letters—in this charming, laugh out loud debut novel about a life fully lived.
Ann Patchett says, “Subtly told and finely made, The Correspondent is a portrait of a small life expanding. Virginia Evans shows how one woman changes at a point when change had seemed impossible. That change, like this novel, turns out to be a cause for celebration.”
Virginia Evans is from the east coast of the United States. She attended James Madison University for her bachelor’s in English literature, as well as Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland, for her master’s of philosophy in creative writing. Now she lives in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, with her husband, two children, and her Red Labrador, Brigid.
Tickets for this event are priced at $30.52 and include a copy of the book. Ms. Evans will be happy to sign your copy! Signed books make a great gift at the holidays!
