Meditation + Movie + a sacred circle. We’re talking trauma in the chair, generational healing with Mariah N. Scott. Join us for a private screening of Mariah N. Scott’s powerful poetry film, followed by unscripted, an intimate and honest conversation about hair, heritage, and identity. Together, we’ll explore how our strands carry stories—and how those stories shape the way we see ourselves and each other.
🎙 2PM – The Art of Braids Podcast Live Panel
A powerful conversation on beauty, wellness, confidence, and culture with Nkonye Mwalilu, Gregory Patterson, Genesis Domingues and Romnie Cesar moderated my Karyne Tinord.
💼 3PM – The Beauty of Business: Power, Purpose & Profit
A much needed conversation on making moves in the right direction with Panelists Angela Yee, Lisa Price, Leona Wilson and Yesenia Ramdass moderated by Angela Pannyfeather.
🍞 4PM – Cornbread & Crowns: The Bake-Off
We’re breaking literal bread in a local bake-off with NYC's finest bakers. Whether you’re a seasoned baker or just here to taste, vote for your favorite and help us crown the most delicious and creative bite of the day!
🎶 5PM – Curls & Beats: The Block Party Wind Down
Vibes on full blast with DJ Kosi, shopping from curated brands, light bites, complimentary tea and coffeee samples from Angela Yee's CUP (Coffee Uplifts People) , and all the joy you can carry.
