About this event

Arts • Theatre

On the corner of 5th and Garrison sits a weathered but beloved neighborhood fixture — Curtis’ Market. It's more than a store; it’s a community hub where old friends play dominoes, share stories, and watch over their own. When a mysterious new face, Jaybo, arrives looking homeless, the crew slowly welcomes him in. But Jaybo is actually an undercover cop, placed there to monitor a suspected drug dealer.

As he grows close to the people, Jaybo faces a painful decision: fulfill his mission or protect his newfound family. When the bust goes down, the store is shut down, trust is broken, and Jaybo must face the fallout of betrayal.

The Corner is a gritty, emotional story of loyalty, deception, and the sacred spaces we fight to preserve. This play, created by Jeremiahya & Andarika Anderson and written & co-directed by Chaninn Ragland, will be performed on November 15, 2025, at 7 PM at the Dream City Event Center in Pine Hills, Florida.
