"The Co-op: The Kids of Dorie Miller" is a feature-length, in-production documentary. Helmed by an attorney, former co-op resident, and first-time filmmaker, Paulina Davis, the film explores the unique history of her childhood home while examining an old solution to today’s affordable homeownership crisis. The producing team will screen a 10-minute work sample of the film, and Hudson Valley filmmaker, Tara Latorre (Tara's Call Sheet), will moderate a discussion with the filmmakers. Light refreshments will be served.

This event is hosted by Tara's Call Sheet and The Colony, and it's made possible with support from the Firelight Media Documentary Lab, The California Film Institute's 2024 DocPitch Competition Audience Award, and the New York State Council on the Arts.

There is no fee to attend this event, but we invite attendees to make a tax-deductible donation via the film's fiscal sponsor, New York Women in Film & Television, at the following link: https://bit.ly/3HwGEi9

All proceeds go towards the production of the film.
