About this event

Community • City & Town

Join Column & Stripe for an immersive walking tour that explores how public art shapes (and is shaped by) community. Hosted in collaboration with LAND Studio, this experience takes you through the heart of Ohio City, one of Cleveland’s most dynamic and historic neighborhoods.

From vibrant murals to large-scale sculptures, this curated tour highlights more than 20 public art pieces that speak to the area's complex history—from its roots as an Irish shantytown to its ongoing transformation in the face of modern development. Together, we’ll consider questions of progress, identity, and representation: What role does art play in the growth of a neighborhood? And how can communities balance revitalization with inclusivity?

We’ll kick off at LAND Studio’s offices, where you'll get a short introduction to their mission and the tour ahead. After the hour-long walk, we’ll reconvene back at LAND for non-alcoholic beverages and snacks and an open conversation about what we’ve seen.
