Featuring Tanis Sotelo & Kate Gylten

Join us at Windy Goat Acres for an afternoon filled with live circus performance, discussions and a movement workshop that will inspire and ignite your creativity. The Circus of Tensegrity is an immersive site-responsive circus project with live sound. The performance weaves together aerial rope, Japanese drumming, and a unique vocal soundscape, set on a 15 acre hobby farm and animal sanctuary, nestled in the verdant valleys of the 'Bohemian Alps'.

Mimi Ke, in collaboration with Elaine Mc Cague (Creative Director of Loosysmokes) will create an immersive rope-scape onsite and performe alongside the pulsing rhythms of Tanis Sotelo (co-founder of Soten Taiko) and Kate Gylten, vocalist, who will create an atmospheric soundscape—channeling wind, breath, and trees.

Together, we invite folks to slow down, sense more, and tune into the landscape and the themes of tension and compression that move through the work.

The show’s movement and sound are driven by the concept of tensegrity—structures held together by a balance of tension and compression. Aerialists move through a suspended network of ropes, where each shift in weight impacts the entire system. The ropes act as both constraint and support, reflecting the delicate balance that holds us together.

By designing an experience conceived to the landscape, the show encourages audiences to engage with their surroundings in new and meaningful ways, forging deeper connections between body and place.

Important Information: Every reservation includes a folding chair for seating. Audiences without reservations are encouraged to bring their own foldable chair or blankets.
