The Christmas Cookie Atelier: A Hands-On Pastry Class with Chef Dan Pivovar

Join us for The Christmas Cookie Atelier — a cozy, hands-on pastry class led by Chef Dan Pivovar, Food Network’s Halloween Baking Championship (Season 9) contestant.Leave with your own handcrafted treats, new baking skills, and that unmistakable feeling of Christmas joy.

In this festive workshop, you’ll learn to mix, roll, shape, and bake two beloved holiday classics from scratch:
Snickerdoodles – soft, cinnamon-sugar cookies that taste like pure comfort.
Rugelach – delicate, crescent-shaped pastries filled with sweet spice and old-world charm.

With over 27 years of experience, Chef Dan has honed his craft across the country, from New York City and Pittsburgh to Arkansas, and right here in Wisconsin at Meringue Bakery, Schuby’s Neighborhood Butcher, and Red Pines Bar & Grill. Now part of Cappella’s catering team (and our food truck family!), Chef Dan brings his signature warmth and creativity to every bake.

During the class, you’ll:
Master versatile cookie doughs and fillings for perfect texture and flavor
Learn professional rolling and shaping techniques for two distinct holiday treats
