A dinner & conversation with artist Njaimeh Njie, Jasmine M. Cho of Butter & Joy Bakery, and Greg Austin of 412 Food Rescue.

Join us at Shiloh Farm for a conversation that lives at the intersection between food, art, and community. A collaboration between Broke Babe Supper Club and Grow Pittsburgh, this event is a feast for both the palate and the mind, where every bite tells a story.

This plant-based dinner is catered by Veggies N'at.

About the Panelists

Njaimeh Njie is a Pittsburgh-based multimedia artist working across photography, film, collage, and installation. Her practice explores how the past shapes the present, with a focus on how labor, leisure, and land shape how people identify with themselves, their communities, and the places they call home. Njie has exhibited at the Mattress Factory and Silver Eye Center For Photography, and her work is held in the permanent collections of Carnegie Museum of Art and Pérez Art Museum Miami.

Jasmine M. Cho is a Pittsburgh-based author, artist, and creative activist most known forusing portrait cookies to elevate representation of historically marginalized stories. Her work has been featured internationally on various media outlets that include NPR, The Washington Post, CBS This Morning, and The Korea Daily. A TEDx speaker, Food Network Champion, and emerging art therapist, Jasmine hopes to use her platform to expand ideas of wellness by promoting joy, creativity, and advocating for diverse modalities of healing.

Greg Austin is a former chef and current restauranteur who serves as the Director of Distribution Initiatives at 412 Food Rescue. Over 4 years, his team has produced over 80,000 meals and 300,000+ family grocery bags for communities in Pittsburgh, entirely from rescued food. The programs and projects he directs in the non-profit space aim to be just as human-forward as the service at any fine restaurant; embodying dignity, quality and convenience. Austin is also a partner at the nordic restaurant, Fet Fisk.
