Do you know what to do before & after your child or loved one with a disability graduates from the special education system to avoid being in a catch-22? Every Step of the Way Resource Center is hosting the 1st Annual Catch-22 Resource. Join ESW for the 1ST public resource fair in the Chicago proper area only for individuals with disabilities ages 18 & up. The purpose of this resource fair is to provide various essential community resources specific to adults with intellectual, developmental, & mental health disabilities in one setting, since many resources become minimal starting at age 18 & when special education entitlements end at age 22. Adults with disabilities, parents, guardians, caregivers, family, & friends of adults with disabilities, & professionals who serve adults with disabilities are highly encouraged to attend. Parents & guardians of individuals with disabilities who are middle & high school age are encouraged to attend to prepare for transitioning & aging out of the special education system.
