About this event

The Santa Cruz County Sheriff's Office and the Sexual Assault Response Team (SART) invite you to join us online for this special event in recognition of April's Sexual Assault Awareness Month.

"The Bystander Moment" Virtual Conversation with featured speaker Jackson Katz, and guest speakers Sheriff Jim Hart and Ann Simonton.

About our speakers:

  • Jackson Katz Ph.D., is an internationally renowned speaker, educator, activist, author, and co-founder of Mentors in Violence Prevention (MVP)
  • Jim Hart, Santa Cruz County Sheriff-Coroner
  • Ann Simonton, activist, writer, Media Watch founder/director and Chair of the Santa Cruz Commission for the Prevention of Violence Against Women
