About this event

  • Event lasts 2 hours

Youth crime is one of the most pressing challenges facing communities today. While reports, statistics, and policies attempt to address the issue, few experiences provide the raw, unfiltered reality of what drives young people toward crime—and more importantly, what steers them away from it.

The Blueprint is a 70 minute documentary informed and driven by the voices of young people with real, lived experience in the justice system. Featuring 10 young people from diverse backgrounds, the film offers raw, authentic perspectives on the challenges they’ve faced and the practical steps that helped them move away from offending.

MASP will host a community screening of the documentary at The Powerhouse from 5.30pm on Wednesday 27 August, followed by a powerful but community-friendly Lived Experience Panel session featuring 16 Yards Co-founders Dr Stephane Shepherd and Shayne Hood along with two former young people with previous justice system contact.
