Overview
This training will provide a general overview of relevant information for the eating disorder field including current diagnoses, signs of disordered eating habits, and areas of interest. Attendees will become more familiar with assessing and recognizing disordered eating habits as well as how to begin exploring these concerns with clients. The ethics of working with clients with disordered eating habits will be briefly discussed.
Presenter
Amanda Zalokar, LCSW - is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker through the state of Wisconsin and holds her Trauma-Informed Care Certificate. Amanda completed her Master of Social Work at the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee and completed an emphasis in Physical, Behavioral and Mental Health. Additionally, Amanda obtained her Bachelor of Science in Psychology through the University of Wisconsin – Green Bay, where she chose to focus most of her coursework on eating disorders. Amanda currently provides trauma-sensitive therapy through Professional Services Group, and uses a client-centered, attachment-based approach to empower clients to reach their full potential.
