Welcome to the “Building Blocks of Success” series.
The purpose of the series is to help DBEs and those who are interested in conducting business with IDOT grow their business in ability and capacity. Building Blocks of Success is set up in blocks which are broken down into smaller modules of workshops. There will be two to three workshops per week, lasting between 1 to 2 hrs. until the end of March 2021. During selected workshops, you will hear from various leaders within IDOT letting you know that they support you and this program.
You must attend at least 70% of the workshops that pertain to your business to:
1. Be given an opportunity to have one on ones with some of our prime contractors in the Chicagoland area
2. Participate in the series graduation where you will get to meet and ask questions of some of our experts within IDOT.
Currently there are 30 workshops planned, requiring attending 21 to graduate. Attendance is tracked via evaluations submitted within 24hrs. after the workshop. Commitment, in addition to your best “I’m here to learn and apply” mindset, are required.
You can view finalized upcoming workshops and register using the following link: bit.ly/DBEworkshops
