About this event

  • Event lasts 1 hour

Collectors, especially book collectors, all have tales to tell. Their stories involve “finds”—overlooked items, which are the stuff of Antiques Roadshow. In this illustrated talk, longtime Baltimore Bibliophiles member Mark Samuels Lasner will tell of his collecting failures—the books, manuscripts, and artworks which he saw and (mostly) could afford, but he was too stupid, bewildered, cheap, or unimaginative to buy. The things that he could’ve, should’ve, and didn’t get continue to haunt Samuels Lasner, even after decades.

Please join us for light refreshments before the talk begins.

Parking vouchers for the Franklin Street Garage will be available at this program.
