Why Is ADC hosting a special "Behind the Curtain" event this year?

With both shows selling out weeks in advance, ADC wanted to give parents, family members, and friends an opportunity to still participate in this year's Nutcracker experience.

What will take place at the "Behind the Curtain" event?

Those attending will get the opportunity to not only see all the behind the scenes work that goes into the production during the final dress rehearsal, but they will be the first ones to see many of the key elements of the 2025 Nutcracker.

Is there an age restriction on who can attend?

Accepted Answer

Yes, we're requesting that no children younger than 8 years old attend the "Behind the Curtain" showing. This open rehearsal is not for young children as all attendees will need to be quiet and observant of what is happening on the stage. Please note that you are not required to stay the entire time

Will photos and videos be allowed during the event?

Accepted Answer

No, in order to allow the cast and director to properly focus on the rehearsal we're asking that no flash photography or videos be taken.

Is there assigned seating or is seating first come first served like the main shows?

Accepted Answer

Seating for the "Behind the Curtain" event is first come, first served.

When will the doors open for the "Behind the Curtain" event?

The doors will open at 5:55 p.m. for our "Behind the Curtain" event.

Will there be food and drink allowed in the theater during the "Behind the Curtain" event?

No, no food and drink is permitted in the theater during the event.
