The Asia School of Business (ASB) is delighted to invite you to the launch of ASB Tun Ismail Ali Center of Excellence (TIACOE), in conjunction with the school's 10-Year Anniversary! As a new research center endowed by Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM), TIACOE is dedicated to advancing thought leadership and impactful research in monetary and financial economics. We are honored to welcome Nobel Laureate in Economics (1997), Professor Robert C. Merton, as our eminent keynote speaker.
This special event commemorates the legacy of Tun Ismail Ali, the first Malaysian Governor of Bank Negara Malaysia, and marks the beginning of a new chapter in fostering academic-practitioner exchange through conferences, seminars, and public lectures led by the Center.

The ASB Tun Ismail Ali Center of Excellence in Monetary & Financial Economics (TIACOE) is a Bank Negara Malaysia-endowed research center under the stewardship of the Asia School of Business. You may park at Asia School of Business Academic Building, or alternate parking spaces at AICB or Sasana Kijang — both are within walking distance to the ASB building.
Yes. If you are taking Grab, set the drop off at “Asia School of Business - Main entrance." The closest KTM station is "Bank Negara Station" and the closest LRT station is "Bandaraya Station" — walk across the pedestrian bridge to ASB.
We highly recommend you to register before attending the event, to accommodate available space in the venue. There will also be a QR code sent to your email that is required to check into the event.
