Welcome to The Art of Wild Things: Toddler Art Camp! Join us as we create with nature at the new, Messy Monets Kid's Art Studio at the Chestnut Center for the Arts! Get ready for a fun-filled week of creating beautiful process art with things you can find right outside your door. This camp is designed for toddlers (age 2-3) and their parents to explore their artistic side in an adventurous and playful environment. Some of our time will be spent outdoors and some in the classroom, creating with leaves, sticks, bugs, water and more. Don't miss out on this exciting opportunity to spark your child's imagination and interact with the world around us. Class size is limited, so don't be a stick in the mud, sign up today!

What is process art?

Process Art is all about the making of art and exploring the materials rather than the end result of a specific project. Don't worry, you'll still take home plenty of beautiful artwork!

Do parents stay with their child the whole time?

Yes! While this is a child-led classroom, parents are encouraged to create, play, and help with their child. All children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian to participate.

What age is this class for?

This classroom is designed for 2 and 3 year olds. For children younger than 2, please reach out before registering. For children ages 4 and 5, check out our art camps for preschoolers.

What should my child wear?

You and your child should wear clothes that can get messy. Not all products used with be washable. While some smocks will be available, it is suggested that you bring a change of clothes for your child. Sunscreen is also encouraged, as we may spend some time outside.
