Explore sound captioning as an art form in this hands-on workshop with composer and multimedia artist Jay Afrisando. Participants will experiment with sound description, considering accessibility, art, ethics, and ecology, and collectively develop practices for artistic and critical engagement with auditory experiences. Jay Afrisando, a neurodivergent artist, works across music-theater, installation, film, and storytelling to expand aural diversity, accessibility, and decolonized approaches to sound.
