The Art of Self Directed Learning

What do homeschooling and unschooling families have in common with the best summer camps, colleges, coaches, and teachers? They share the goal of raising self-motivated and self-directed learners. But what exactly does it mean to be a self-directed learner, what does it look like, and how can we support and challenge them as parents? Blake addresses these questions with illustrative stories gathered over a decade of working with self-directed teenagers and young adults. (This presentation is based on his book of the same name.)

We will also have time for a Q&A session!
