The Art of Play: A Joyful Journey

Rediscover your sense of wonder. Join us for an imaginative journey into the joy of play, creativity, and self-expression. Through writing, reflection, and hands-on exploration, we’ll awaken our inner child and make space for delight.

Part 1: Nature as Our Playthings – Dig through a bucket of sand to discover a seashell. Examine its shape, color, and texture, and let it spark playful memories—of beach days, childhood games, or the natural world's imagination.

Part 2: Playful Style & Self-Expression – What does your playful self wear? Bring a scarf, belt, or other accessory to exchange as we explore how color, texture, and style express who we are becoming.

Part 3: Mini-Zines & Collage Self-Portraits – We’ll make a mini-zine using just one sheet of paper. Through collage, we’ll cut, layer, and discover parts of ourselves through image and word. Please bring a magazine or two to share.

Each session includes poetry, reflection, guided writing prompts, and a playful, artful invitation. Come ready to give yourself permission to play!
