About this event

Nature journaling is the practice of spending time outside, making observations and recording them in a journal. This practice can deepen your connection to and understanding of the natural world and may bring a little bit of calm to your life. Nature journaling is growing in popularity around the world and many health benefits have been associated with the practice.

We invite you to join KT Blue and Marilynn Blacketer, enthusiastic nature journalers, on Thursday afternoons this summer as we explore beautiful Circle Creek together. They will share strategies to make your journaling a fun, interesting and meaningful practice. We will spend time “in the field” with our journals and have the opportunity to share our observations with each other. No journaling experience is necessary, the sessions are free, families are encouraged to participate and basic supplies (journal, colored pencils and tote bag) will be provided for you to keep and continue your practice.

Outing Details: This workshop is a six-part series. Attending all 6 nature journaling outings is recommended but not required. You are welcome to join one or as many as you can. We will take a short walk to a spot where we will sit, observe and journal. No dogs allowed on site. Restrooms are available.

What to Bring: Water and snacks. Please wear sturdy walking shoes and dress for the day’s weather. If you have a portable camp chair that you'd like to carry out to the journaling site, you're welcome to bring it along.

This program is free, but registration is required for each session.
