Overview
The art of memory and learning - Free online workshop
This conference will teach you how to develop your skills for memorization or for more or less any other skill.
My name is Francis Blondin. I’m a two-time so-called “Canadian memory champion” who is deeply passionate about everything related to memory and learning. I have managed to develop various skills that may seem surprising, such as being able to memorize a series of 300 numbers in about ten minutes. Today I am on a mission to show you how you can “learn how to learn” much more effectively.
Contrary to what one may think, I assure you that I wasn’t born with any particular natural talent for memorization. I think that being blessed with some form of “talent” can be very helpful, but that it isn’t necessary in most areas of life. When it comes to memorization and learning, there are various methods that have been proven to be very effective. And I think you should learn to use them. Whether it's to prepare for exams, to remember people's names, or anything else.
Considerable progress is possible in the very short term. Much more spectacular progress is possible in the medium term. The techniques you will discover are not magic solutions for learning and remembering everything without effort, but they are certainly extraordinary tools that are well worth exploring.
P.-S. Parts of what we will learn is explored in this New York Times article : "An Ancient and Proven Way to Improve Memorization".
