About this event
A Taylor Death Production, The Art of Hypnosis: Beyond Myths, Into Mindful Presence
Forget the hypnosis show you saw in Times Square; this is not a show or a performance act with stage tricks and theatrics. The Art of Hypnosis: Beyond Myths, Into Mindful Presence is an educational workshop where you’ll gain a clear understanding of how hypnosis and trance truly work within a safe, consensual space for self-discovery, unlocking new possibilities for awareness and growth.
Hypnosis is the tool to enter trance, and here we’re shattering the myths of hypnosis and trance. Trance is a naturally occurring state similar to daydreaming that we slip into every day. Our conscious and unconscious minds are in control; there is no getting stuck, giving up free will, or losing control.
Do you trust your conscious and unconscious mind?
In this workshop, we’ll deconstruct the myths and explore hypnosis and trance as both an everyday phenomenon and a conscious practice. You’ll learn what hypnosis really is, what trance truly means, and how hypnotic patterns and post-hypnotic suggestions appear in our daily lives.
The Art of Hypnosis: Beyond Myths, Into Mindful Presence, A Taylor Death Production led by Reinhard Gaida, MSc (Sigmund Freud University, Vienna). Reinhard is a Certified Educational Hypnosis Trainer (CC10, American Board of Hypnotherapy) and DVNLP-Europe Certified Neuro-Linguistic Programming Coach, Master, Trainer, and Master Trainer. With over 15 years dedicated to conscious sexuality, Reinhard founded Schwelle Events and Schwelle Vienna, Vienna’s first sex-positive venue, established in 2012.
Experience hypnosis as a tool to step into trance and discover a space where barriers dissolve, self-awareness expands, and you deepen your understanding of yourself and the world, both consciously and unconsciously.
What you’ll explore:
- What trance really is, and why it’s a natural, everyday state
- The role of consent and free will in every hypnotic process
- How hypnosis works as a tool to access trance safely and consciously
- Opening the door to unconscious parts of the mind for relaxation, creativity, and connection
Doors at 7pm - Workshop begins at 7:30pm.
This event is a workshop and not a play party: we encourage guests to wear something comfortable that also makes them feel sexy. but full nudity is not allowed. Guests should be prepared to see a role-play demonstration. Participation in discussions and activities is encouraged. Partners and singles are encouraged to attend.
Host Bio
Taylor Death is a longtime member of the polyamorous and sex-positive community, deeply rooted in the values of self-growth, connection, and radical authenticity. With years of experience hosting gatherings that bring people together, she is now transitioning that passion into intentional event production focused on community building and embodied connection—grounded in consent, unapologetically honest, fiercely present, and open to the chaos of true human connection.
Taylor is supported by community educator and facilitator Reinhard Gaida, MSc, Graduate of Sigmund Freud University, Vienna, with over two decades of experience. His expertise is in the creation of sex-positive spaces, polyamory, and Holotropic Breathwork. Reinhard is the founder of Schwelle Events and Schwelle Vienna, Vienna’s first sex-positive venue, established in 2012. Playfight is his signature event, and it’s coming to Bushwick.
Reinhard guides people to uncover their true selves—embracing freedom, authenticity, and joy beyond shame and societal norms.
His mission is to guide people in shaping relationships and sexuality that genuinely fit their individuality—embracing freedom, consciousness, and vibrant aliveness.
Reinhard envisions a world where love and connection are boundless, and sexuality becomes a wellspring of power, creativity, and joy. Through his work, people experience profound transformation—in body, mind, and soul.
Through transformative retreats, workshops, and immersive experiences, he opens doors to new ways of loving and experiencing sexuality—helping joy and vitality to flourish from within.
His work has been featured in national and international media for advancing conscious sexuality and relationship culture.
