ABOUT THE ARCHIVE: NEW WORKS BY BLACK WOMEN
The Archive tells the stories of black femmes as an act of archiving them in our collective memory. The Archive provides an artistic space for black femmes to practice their craft, share their stories, and build a supportive community through community events and live theatrical performances. We aim to give women agency to take and share their stories into their own hands.

Our history is important and deserves to be preserved and documented. Through our art, we are actively defining our lives for ourselves and in that way fighting misogynoir. We exercise the power of teaching and shared knowledge to fight systems of power. The Archive lowers the boundaries of creating and sharing stories and building a sustainable community. We do this in the hopes of building a more liberated and free world for oppressed people.
