Overview

The 60-Year Curriculum reframes learning within the context of an extended working life that will require consistent reinvention and growth.

The 60 Year Curriculum reframes learning within the context of an extended working life that will require consistent reinvention and growth. This workshop will help educators prepare students for a future where they will likely have several very different careers across their lifetimes rather than a career path shaped by their major in college.

The workshop will help educators develop practical strategies to help students cultivate the mindsets and understandings they will need to transition between the many varied interests and opportunities they will enjoy during their lives . It will also help educators rethink the larger systems that need to be transformed to prepare students for fulfilling lives and careers.

At the end of the workshop, participants will have concrete ideas about how to approach their work differently based on feedback. This will help shift their focus toward building student capacity and confidence for the unprecedented lifelong learning adventures they will experience across multiple stages of life.
