"Celebrate Culture and Legacy: Derf Reklaw Arts & Heritage Presents the Third Annual Derf Reklaw Experience"
Los Angeles, CA - The third annual Derf Reklaw Experience is scheduled to take place on Sunday, November 16, 2025, at 12:00 PM at the World Stage in Leimert Park. Hosted by Albert Lord, Vice President of Community Build, the Experience honors individuals and organizations that have made significant contributions to cultural preservation in the arts.
This year’s honorees include Pan Afrikan People's Arkestra members Mekala Session & Sonjia D. Hubert Harper, choreographer Pat Taylor, master drummer & drum maker Harold Lott, and boutique owner Aminah Muhammad. Honorees are chosen based on their unwavering dedication to the preservation of cultural heritage.
The event will take place at The World Stage, located at 4321 Degnan Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90008, and will feature live performances by members of the Pan Afrikan Peoples Arkestra and special guests. Suggested donation is $20, with free admission for children under 12.

The Derf Reklaw Arts & Heritage nonprofit organization is dedicated to honoring and preserving the cultural legacies of artists, activists, and community leaders who have shaped the cultural landscape of Leimert Park and beyond. Named after the late legendary jazz musician and educator Derf Reklaw, the organization supports the next generation of aspiring performing artists and musicians by providing resources, educational programs, and professional development opportunities to foster their growth and success.
