The Los Delgados Festival is a 3-day annual music and community event established by Staten Island's very own Eddy I. in 2022. Taking place in Staten Island, New York, The Festival aims to amplify the voices of what many know to be the "forgotten borough" by including numerous artists, community members, and organizations.
The 3-day event starts Thursday, September 18th with The Jam: an open mic event at The Hop Shoppe where locals and visitors get to enjoy live music, food, drinks, and games ahead of Saturday's main event. Open mic participants are accompanied by a modular live band welcoming fresh faces and established performers alike.
Day 2 is Team Salsa Cinema, a movie marathon screening a variety of films across multiple genres, including short films created by local filmmakers.
Day 3 is the main event.
The Los Delgados Festival comes to a close with a music event showcasing artists from Staten Island and beyond. The day includes performances from 10 different acts, live interactive art, and vendors selling food, drinks, art, merch, and more.
Our goal with The Los Delgados Festival is to shed light on the dense artistic community located here in Staten Island. As proud Staten Islanders, we see firsthand the lack of representation we have in comparison to the rest of New York, and I hope to not only bring our talent to the forefront, but also create an environment that encourages talents from other places to pursue our stages and crowds.
