Tending the Root: Supporting Foster & Adoptive Families
Overview
Tending the Root: Supporting Foster & Adoptive Families
When a child comes from hard places, their healing depends on a strong, grounded root system — one that includes their caregivers and their circle of support.
Tending the Root is a trauma-informed workshop designed for the friends, family, and community members who love someone who is fostering or adopting.
You’ll learn what trauma really means, why traditional parenting advice often backfires, and how to support caregivers without judgment or burnout.
This is not therapy — it’s education, connection, and transformation.
You’ll leave with practical tools and a deeper understanding of how to show up in ways that truly help families heal.
