From silos to systems: The strategic role of primary care

We’re pleased to invite you to the second annual Telfer Health System Conversation, taking place on Thursday, November 27, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at uOttawa’s Telfer School of Management.

This year’s event will explore how leaders across sectors can collaborate to strengthen primary care and build a more resilient, inclusive and human-scale health system. Attendees will gain:

  • insights into the evolving role of accessible, team-based primary care
  • practical strategies from local health leaders to align care with community needs
  • opportunities to connect and exchange ideas with peers across health-care sectors

The evening will feature:

  • a framing segment on the urgency of Ontario’s primary care reform
  • key insights from Professor Agnes Grudniewicz on the strategic evolution of primary care
  • a dynamic, interactive panel of local health leaders sharing real-world approaches

Panellists will include:

  • Hoda Mankal, nurse practitioner (NP) and executive director of Ottawa’s first NP-led clinic
  • Dr. Trevor Arnason, medical officer of health for the City of Ottawa (Ottawa Public Health)

Conclude the evening with networking, reflection and actionable ideas you can bring back to your work and community.
