Telfer’s Health System Conversations
Overview
We’re pleased to invite you to the second annual Telfer Health System Conversation, taking place on Thursday, November 27, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at uOttawa’s Telfer School of Management.
This year’s event will explore how leaders across sectors can collaborate to strengthen primary care and build a more resilient, inclusive and human-scale health system. Attendees will gain:
- insights into the evolving role of accessible, team-based primary care
- practical strategies from local health leaders to align care with community needs
- opportunities to connect and exchange ideas with peers across health-care sectors
The evening will feature:
- a framing segment on the urgency of Ontario’s primary care reform
- key insights from Professor Agnes Grudniewicz on the strategic evolution of primary care
- a dynamic, interactive panel of local health leaders sharing real-world approaches
Panellists will include:
- Hoda Mankal, nurse practitioner (NP) and executive director of Ottawa’s first NP-led clinic
- Dr. Trevor Arnason, medical officer of health for the City of Ottawa (Ottawa Public Health)
