Telehandler J3 Novice - 5 days

Welcome to certified Telehandler J3 Novice - 5 days training event! Join us at Verda Park on January 12th - 16th 2026 at 08:00 AM GMT for an exciting 5-day course. The Novice Operator Course provides a comprehensive introduction to plant operation - guiding learners from basic machine control and steering through progressive load-handling and racking tasks, along with essential safety and maintenance practices, before completing final theory and practical assessments.

The course will cover:

Day 1:

• Registration, course overview, statutory requirements (HASAWA)
• Machine introduction: motive/steering controls, starting & stopping, emergency stops
• Basic and advanced steering exercises (open-area course)
• Battery charging procedures

Day 2:

• Recap and operator safety code
• Engineering principles: rated capacity, stability, simple hydraulics, load types

Day 3:

• Recap and daily pre-use checks
• Bulk stacking/de-stacking, empty pallets, load assessment
• Low-level racking stacking/de-stacking and manoeuvring with loads

Day 4:

• Recap; battery maintenance and refuelling
• Medium/high-level racking stacking/de-stacking
• Corner stacking/de-stacking, load location, vehicle loading/unloading

Day 5:

• Recap and handling awkward loads
• General supervised practice
• Knowledge test, pre-use check exam, and practical basic skills tests

Please note this is a 5 day course and you must attend every day of the training to receive the certification.
