Join Tomaquag Museum at Tucker Woods Preserve on Saturday, May 10th from 10am-11am for a Traditional Ecological Knowledge walk.

Parking is very limited. Please be careful not to block driveways of private homeowners in the vicinity. Tucker Woods Preserve is a public trail of the town of Charlestown and is managed by the Charlestown Conservation Commission. Please respect this conservation space.

Dinalyn Spears, a citizen of the Narragansett Indian tribe, is the Director of Natural Resources and Planning. Dinalyn also oversees the Tribe's Agriculture & Food Sovereignty Program. The Natural Resources & Planning Department is responsible for ensuring the Tribal Community has access to a healthy and safe environment while preserving culture and fostering a holistic approach to community development that supports economic well-being and a high quality of life for the community and visitors.

Dinalyn holds an Associate's degree in Business Management from CCRI, a Bachelor of Science in Wildlife Biology and Management from the University of Rhode Island, and a Master's of Science in Environmental Studies from Antioch New England Graduate School. Dinalyn is also an herbalist and master gardener.

The Tomaquag Museum is Rhode Island's only Indigenous Museum dedicated to sharing the culture, arts, history, and lifeways of the Indigenous people of Southern New England.
