Join us for an exciting FREE kickoff lecture to a new 10-part series exploring the legacy of Broadway’s most influential songwriting team: Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein II.

About the Class
Rodgers & Hammerstein changed the face of musical theatre forever. Together they wrote groundbreaking shows including Oklahoma!, Carousel, South Pacific, The King and I, and The Sound of Music. Their musicals combined soaring melodies with bold storytelling, often addressing themes of love, justice, and humanity that continue to inspire.

This introductory session will be taught by Rodgers & Hammerstein expert Ted Chapin, who served as President of The Rodgers & Hammerstein Organization for more than 30 years. Ted brings unmatched insights, personal memories, and deep scholarship to his talks.
