Event description

Description

The Center for Investigative Reporting and the Google News Lab are proud to invite you to the first TechRaking D.C.: Meeting the Challenge.

Innovation is critical in journalism. We know that, and we are working to bring new ideas to market. At TechRaking D.C.: Meeting the Challenge, we will discuss what it means to integrate innovation into newsrooms to expand the opportunities for great reporting.

TechRaking is the premier journalism, design and innovation series that brings together leaders from diverse fields to develop solutions for new sustainable business and engagement models in journalism. This event will salute the winning projects from the eight 2015 TechRaking events held in communities around the world. New networks born at TechRaking now operate across borders as products and solutions are being built by the TechRaking network. We will highlight these great teams and look forward to 2016. In the new year, CIR and the Google News Lab will continue to support new ideas, critical capacity and untapped resources to help build momentum for the collaborative news community that we support.
