Understand the drivers and impacts of digital transformation and gain a high-level understanding of the various technology categories that will shape our future. You can gain a deeper understanding of specific technologies in subsequent sessions.
June 17: Session 2: The Family of Artificial Intelligence Technologies. Learn about AI, Natural Language Capabilities, Computer Vision, Facial Recognition, Expert systems, and more, and how all of these technologies come together in many use cases to augment - or in some cases replace - human cognitive functions and decision making.
June 24: Session 3: Interface Technologies of Tomorrow. How we interact with machines, computers, or even with each other is changing dramatically. Learn about Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality, the growing importance of Voice based interactions, and more.
July 1: Session 4: The Many Faces of Robots in the Future. We all have a vision of what robots might look like from Science Fiction movies. Some of these visions are coming close to being true, but there are many more shapes and use cases for robots in the world of tomorrow than you might think. Learn all about them in this session.
July 8: Session 5: The Cutting Edge of New Technologies. Even in the world of Digital Transformation some technologies are still in the idea or early evolution stage. Yet, many of them have the potential to change our lives dramatically. The sooner you hear about them, the better you can prepare yourself for the future.
Part 2: Technology in Context
July 15: Session 6: New Technologies and Racial Bias. Racial Bias is one of the hot topics of debate in today's reality. What role can technology play in this arena? Will it contribute to overcoming racial bias and discrimination or could it potentially make matters worse? What factors will determine the direction?
July 22: Session 7: New Technologies and Democracy. The democratic foundation of our country is built on the right to vote, freedom of speech, freedom of information, equal rights, and other core beliefs. Will technology empower these elements, or does it threaten to undermine them? And what role does democracy play in shaping technology?
July 29: Session 8: New Technologies and the Future of our Planet. Climate Change, Water Scarcity, Soil Erosion - the list of ecological problems facing us currently and in the future is very long. Can technology provide solutions, or does our reliance on technology actually make matters worse?
August 5: Session 9: New Technologies and the Future of Learning. Education as we know it is changing rapidly. The pandemic was a big accelerator of technology empowered learning trends, but there are many more yet to come. Get current on the various ways in which learning may occur tomorrow and the role Educational Institutions can and should play.
August 12: Session 10: New Technologies and the Future of Relationships. Today's relationships are heavily enabled through technology in areas like dating, communication, and other aspects of daily life.
