Neuromuscular massage therapy is a specialized form of deep tissue massage that focuses on relieving chronic muscle pain, tension, and discomfort. It targets specific areas of muscle that are tight or tender, often due to injuries, repetitive strain, postural imbalance, or underlying health conditions.
The primary purpose of neuromuscular therapy is to relieve pain and dysfunction in the muscles, tendons, and nervous system by targeting the underlying causes of these issues. In contrast with general relaxation massage, neuromuscular therapy focuses on specific areas of pain and tension, helping to improve overall muscle function, restore balance, and enhance the body’s ability to move freely.
