Technicolor Time Warps
Overview
Jan 9 - Feb 1, 2026.
Ten Yetman exhibits her newest series of surrealist works, all filled with daydream-like doodles and renaissance inspired figures upon highlighter vibrant backgrounds.
“Technicolour Timewarps” is a playful and dreamlike kaleidoscope of landscapes, creatures and beings. In a world where humor merges with unease, Yetman tells stories about transformation, re-animation, space exploration, love, death and immortality. She draws influence from German and Scandinavian Mythology, Renaissance art, Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein, Roger Corman’s B-Movies, 1960’s Sci-Fi and Czech New Wave films.
Yetman’s creatures inhabit spaces where terror and joy coexist. Intrigued by ideas of goodness and corruption, with beauty and grotesqueness; she explores these contradictions obsessively. While weaving tales through ultra-saturated pigments, there lies the joy of naivety and the horror of vulnerability. The paintings layers rainbows, lightning bolts, skulls and bones as if sprinkled in like confetti.
