Tech Tourney 2025 – Where Basketball Meets Innovation

Saturday, August 2, 2025
Cañada College Athletic Center | 4200 Farm Hill Blvd, Redwood City, CA 94061
11:00 AM – 5:00 PM
(Tech Zone: 11 AM - 4:30 PM | Basketball Competitions: 2 PM - 5 PM)

About the Event

Tech Tourney is more than a tournament—it’s a day where culture, competition, and creativity collide. Powered by StreetCode Academy, this event was built for the community by the community. It’s where hoopers, tech builders, families, and supporters all show up for the same reason: to be part of something that celebrates who we are and where we’re going.

We’re using the culture of basketball to open doors to the world of tech. From live games to hands-on tech demos and career connections, Tech Tourney creates a space where everyone—players, professionals, and parents alike—can plug in. Whether you’re playing, exploring, or cheering from the sidelines, this is your invitation to be part of something real.

Ways to Participate

Play in Basketball Games and Challenges
Kids under 18 will have an assortment of basketball activities to participate in including knock out, 3 pt shootout, king of the court, and mini games!

Explore Tech in Real Life
The gym isn’t the only place you’ll level up. Try coding, robotics, digital art, and VR demos. Meet people working in tech and get inspired. No tech experience required - just curiosity.

Support What We’re Building
This event stays free because the community shows up. Sponsor a team or court, purchase an item at the silent auction, donate gear or funds, or volunteer to help out. There’s space for everyone who wants to be part of the movement.

Why It Matters

Tech Tourney exists to expose our community to what’s possible in tech, using the energy and culture of basketball as the bridge. It’s about opportunity, representation, and showing up for each other.

RSVP now to compete, connect, or contribute. Let’s build something powerful - together.
