Teach Out Loud was founded in 2022 by three Acadiana educators, Morgan Mercado, Taylor Wallace (DoubleDutyTeachers), and Andre Deshotel, who saw a need in the education field. Teach Out Loud is holding their third annual conference for teachers, by teachers to grow a network of educators to connect, inspire, and learn. It will be on Saturday, October 18th, 2025 from 9-3:30 at the UL Lafayette student union. We are a continuously growing network of educators brought together to connect, inspire, and learn. With the support of the Pugh Family Foundation and hosted by the UL College of Education and Human Development, your $25 registration fee will give you access to professional development sessions, an exclusive keynote (Kim Bearden: Co Owner of the Ron Clark Academy), lunch, a t-shirt, giveaways, and more!
Need childcare? We are offering a STEM camp for up to 50 students in grades 1-5 so you can attend the Teach Out Loud conference. The camp will offer on-campus excursions, hands-on robotics and coding experiences, lunch, and other exciting learning opportunities for the low price of $10 per child.
