Green lessons in local spaces: Accessible Eco-Education
Teachers in Grades 3-7 are invited to learn easy, replicable activities in the classroom and on the school grounds that allow children anywhere to learn about the natural environment. This event will be hosted at John Norquay Elementary in Vancouver, BC.
Discover simple activities taught by leaders in environmental education that align with the BC curriculum. Engage students on subjects of freshwater habitats, native plants, pollinators, and environmental stewardship.
Teachers will receive activity demonstrations and be given lesson plans as well as access to digital copies and other resources.

Stay for a light lunch and hear from guest speaker and Metis educator LoriAnn Bird, an experienced herbalist and author of Revered Roots: Ancestral Teachings of Wild, Edible and Medicinal Plants.
