About the fundraiser:

  • From the Sondos Project website: Sondos and her family of 13 need our help for food and supplies. Sondos and her family are #388 on @paliliberation's verified families list! You can follow Sonds here, and the Sondos Project here.
  • This campaign was chosen because it supports a family directly and because the efforts of local drag artists to actually do something about the ongoing crisis in Gaza are inspiring AF!
  • After compensating comedians (we love paying trans artists for their labour!), all proceeds will be donated. Receipts of the donation will be posted on the producers Instagram for transperancy.
  • Can't make the show but want to support? Love that. Donate here.

About the venue:

  • The show takes place at Tallboys (838 Bloor W, near Ossington subway station)
  • The show takes place in the theatre space in the downstairs area of Tallboys. Take a left when you walk in and head downstairs!
  • The venue unfortunately has a few barriers to access. There is a large step to enter the main bar area. The theatre space and washrooms are located down a staircase, with tight corners from the bottom landing to the theatre. There is also a single step from the basement hallway into the venue room. Once inside, there is no grade change.
  • All communal washrooms in the venue are gender neutral. There is also an unmarked, single stall, gender neutral washroom with a toilet.
  • There is a full kitchen available until 10 pm, and non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages available until close
  • No purchase is required on top of your ticket (but we love it when you support the venue if ya can!)

Community:

  • All are welcome at this event, including cis gender allies, that recognize this is a queer and trans space where we are inclusive and respectful of one another, and where oppressive behaviour won't fly
  • At this show we only speak to our own identities, we don't punch down, and isms, phobias, and aggressive crowd work will never be tolerated. The show is hosted and produced by a queer, trans nonbinary comedian who takes this seriously AF
  • This show will be fun filled and full of friendly queers, and the audience and comedian can make new friends and mix and mingle afterwards. If you are flying solo, are nervous, or have any questions, feel free to DM the host @annasebastiencomedy on Instagram. This is all about community!
  • We all want a sexy, healthy time! If you are feeling sick, please stay home! Refund requests will be honoured up to 12 hours before the show. You are totally welcome to wear a mask, and we'd be stoked if you rapid tested before the show.
