About this event

  • Event lasts 1 hour 30 minutes

The class Is eight weeks long and we will meet every Thursday evening beginning July 10th at 6pm Pacific Coast Time/9pm Eastern Time on Zoom.

All families face difficulties, but for some, those difficulties can be very intense and complex. Many risk factors can interrupt a child’s development. Whether the risk factor is biological, emotional or even physiological this workshop will help. You’ll learn proven tools for closer connection with evidence-based techniques that work with the late Dr. Karyn Purvis sharing the biblical principles that inspired TBRI.

This course Is designed for volunteers and caregivers who serve children and families who have been Impacted by trauma and adverse experiences. Every relationship you have will be positively impacted by the relational skills you will learn In this course.

This is an 8-week study facilitated by Ernie & Pat Casarez. Ernie is a TBRI Practitioner trained by the Karyn Purvis Institute of Child Development at TCU and Pat is an experienced Foster Mom, Adoption Mom and Grandmother of 6. They will also share how ACEs and TBRI relate to each other. The content of this class follows the chapters of The Connected Child book.
