Tasting Notes from the Streets: Jerk Chicken & Lambrusco
Overview
The Return of Tasting Notes from the Streets
The show that started it all is back.
Tasting Notes from the Streets — the visual and live event series that bridges wine, food, and hip-hop culture — returns for its next chapter this fall with a full-sensory experience that brings the screen to the table.
The new episode drops Saturday November 22nd, exploring the connection between wine and street food culture through one powerful pairing: Lambrusco and barbecue.
Then on Black Friday (November 28th), we’re taking that experience live in New York City with a night of food, wine, music, and storytelling.
Jerk Chicken Meets Lambrusco
We’re taking over Omar’s Kitchen & Rum Bar, one of NYC’s most celebrated Caribbean fusion restaurants — praised by Eater NY, The Infatuation, and Black Restaurant Week for its bold flavors, creative energy, and signature jerk chicken.
This special night features:
- 4-course island-inspired tasting menu crafted by Omar’s Kitchen
- 3 distinct Lambrusco styles, poured by The Wolf of Wine
- Signature cocktail pairing included
- Live DJ + curated hip-hop soundtrack
Culture. Community. Collaboration.
Jermaine “The Wolf of Wine” Stone and Chef Omar both grew up in the Bronx — two creators who built their own lanes and now reconnect in NYC to celebrate culture, creativity, and community through food and music.
Step one: Watch the new episode of Tasting Notes from the Streets on November 22nd — the season premiere.
Step two: Come experience the pairing in real life at Omar’s Kitchen on Black Friday (November 28th).
Watch it. Taste it. Live it.

Giving Back to Jamaica 🇯🇲
So much of this experience celebrates Jamaican culture, and as we honor that heritage, we can’t ignore what’s happening back home.
Hurricane Melissa has devastated parts of the island, and while help is pouring in from around the world, we’re doing our part too.
20% of all proceeds from this event will be donated to official disaster relief efforts for Jamaica via supportjamaica.gov.jm.
