Join us for a vibrant Malaysian festival weekend at Asia Market Ballymount! Get ready to savour the rich, diverse flavours of Malaysia while enjoying traditional cultural performances, games, and interactive booths—all in celebration of Malaysia’s National Day.
What to Expect:
👨🍳 Live Cooking Demonstrations
Watch and taste authentic Malaysian dishes prepared by Chef Adli, personal chef to the Malaysian Ambassador:
- 30th Aug: Classic Chicken Rendang
- 31st Aug: Nyonya Curry Noodle with Sambal
- Cooking demos include free food sampling.
💃 Traditional Dance Performances
Enjoy colourful, high-energy traditional Malaysian dance performances by UiTM Sarawak dancers every half hour.
🎯 Interactive Cultural Games & Information Booth
UiTM Sarawak will host a Malaysian cultural booth with:
- Malaysian cuisine insights & cultural displays
- Fun traditional Malaysian games for all ages
- Beautiful traditional artwork on display
🍽️ 31st August Special: National Malaysia Day Celebration
Celebrate Malaysia’s National Day with an official flag hoisting ceremony, national anthems, and VIP appearances by:
- Malaysian Ambassador to Ireland
- Guest of Honours
- Delegates from ASEAN countries
- Enjoy speeches, shaded seating for guests, and a lively, open-air celebration.
👨🍳 Malaysian Street Food Market (31st Aug)
Enjoy a variety of live cooking and food sampling from 5 authentic Malaysian vendors, including:
- Sarawak Laksa Noodles
- Roti Paratha with Vegan Sauce
- Milk Tea & Malaysian Desserts and more
