Taste of Appalachia Food Showcase at J.Q. Dickinson Salt-Works.

Thursday, September 18th from 11 am to 4 pm.

Discover, taste, and connect at the Taste of Appalachia Food Showcase — a free, public event celebrating the creativity and craftsmanship of West Virginia’s food producers.

This one-day showcase is your chance to sample the products featured in our curated holiday gift sets, meet the talented artisans behind the brands, and explore the incredible diversity of food products produced right here in Advantage Valley’s region.

Whether you’re a foodie, a small business supporter, or simply curious about what makes Appalachian food products so special, this event is for you. Enjoy live product demos, taste samples, and learn how these small businesses are creating big opportunities through quality and innovation.

Admission to the Food Showcase is free, but we ask that you pre-register to help our vendors plan and prepare enough samples.

Can't make the Showcase, join us Thursday evening for:

An Evening of Appalachian Flavor

Join us on Thursday, September 18, 2025, for Taste of Appalachia: An Evening of Appalachian Flavor, an exclusive cocktail reception presented by Marshall University at J.Q. Dickinson Salt-Works in Malden, WV.

From 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, experience an unforgettable evening of Appalachian-inspired mixology, featuring cocktails crafted with locally made syrups, salts, and mixers — all from the very producers featured in our gift sets. Guests will also enjoy thoughtfully paired small bites, live entertainment, and the opportunity to meet the artisans who bring Appalachian flavors to life.

Tickets are $35 per person, with proceeds benefiting the Taste of Appalachia initiative and its mission to help local food producers scale their businesses and reach new markets. Reserve your spot now and raise a glass to the people and products that make Appalachia unique.
