Taste, Delight, & Vote: The Chris and MaryBeth Metro Cellars Contest!
Overview
Take a break from your early Thanksgiving preparations taste 10 great wines from the portfolio of Metro Selections. From Sauvignon Blanc from Sancerre and California to rich Pinot Noirs, classic Beaujolais and Cotes du Rhone and even bargain-priced pink and fizz, both tasting tables will be full of turkey & fixin’s-ready treats. It’s all free and no RSVP required.
But you do have one job besides tasting and enjoying the wines: we need you to settle a score.
Life- and business-partners Chris and MaryBeth are thankful to work together to make their Metro Cellars import/distribution business a success. But a close collaboration does not preclude a little competition! And here they’re offering competing visions of the wines you’ll most enjoy for Thanksgiving and beyond. Chris is focusing on New World classics and Metro Cellars’ long-time favorites. MaryBeth leans more Old World plus a really attractive super-premium California Pinot with a bit of Old World flair. Here’s the line-up:
Chris’ Table — Fan Favorites & Collaborative Wines
- Domaine de la Ferrandiere Sparkling NV – Refreshing and crowd-pleasing
- Eric Cottat Sancerre Blanc 2024 – The very first wine Metro Cellars imported
- Margerum “Sybarite” Sauvignon Blanc 2024 – Chris’ personal favorite
- Dude Pinot Noir 2023 – Created after Chris encouraged the winemaker to craft a Pinot just for this niche
- Abram’s Bridge 2022 – A wine made specifically for Metro Cellars through a close producer partnership
MaryBeth’s Table — A Taste of France (with a California Ringer)
- Domaine R de La Grange Muscadet 2023 – Crisp, lively, and refreshing
- Château Pigoudet Première Rosé 2024 – Classic Provençal charm
- Domaine Rochette Morgon Côte du Py 2022 – Deep, expressive Beaujolais
- Boislauzon Côtes du Rhône 2022 – Warm and inviting Rhône character
- Presqu’ile Estate Pinot Noir 2021 – A refined California Pinot to round out the set
So you can help them – and us – decide who did the best job of capturing your fancy for fall-into-winter wine favorites. Come, taste, and enjoy the special savings on your favorites. And when the tasting is done, we’ll tally up the sales. One of the partners will be crowned victor. And the other? Well, we hope they have some robust rubber glove at home, because they’ll be doing Thanksgiving dinner dishes!
