Is this weekend just for trans people?

NO! This weekend is for everyone. We welcome all our trans, nonbinary, and gender-nonconforming family as well as those who love us. The camp will also be open to the public as it always is. This will be our 9th year hosting this event, and and the regular members have always been welcoming.

Where is this being held?

The River's Edge in Dewy Rose, GA. It's a wonderful campground near the SC/GA border. It has a swimming pool, clubhouse with pool table and games, and a gigantic hot tub.

So what are the accommodations?

You can rent a cabin or tent site (some have electricity) or bring your RV if you have one. You need to contact the camp directly to make reservations - 706-213-8081

What are the bathrooms and showers like?

While there is one group shower house, there are also many places around camp where you can have some privacy. Some of the larger cabins have private bathrooms. There are also individual shower stalls in three different locations around the campground.

What about food?

TASC will provide breakfast and dinner on Saturday. All other meals are on your own. The Rivers Edge does have a small cafe with convenience foods available for purchase.  There's a fancy new Dollar General just up the street, and grocery stores/fast food about a 20 minute drive away.

TASC will provide a vegetarian option at both of the meals we serve. If you have additional dietary concerns or needs, please let us know so we can be sure that you have access to a kitchen space to prepare your food.

Is this a Conference?

NO!! Do not expect programming, workshops, partners groups, etc. This is simply a weekend away in a safe, beautiful location with friends. There will be some fun activities available, but not required! Have an open mind and come ready to just relax.

Clothing Optional?

Yes. The River's Edge is a clothing optional campground. Opting in or out of clothing is YOUR decision, and if you feel that anyone is pressuring you to do something you are uncomfortable with, please let one of the TASC members know and we will take care of it.

Question 9

Is this just for people who are gay or queer?

Accepted Answer

NO! This weekend is for everyone. The only goal is to have a fun place to go, relax, and unwind for the weekend. Everyone needs that. Again, if anyone makes you feel uncomfortable, tell us and it will be handled.
