Tarot Foundations: ELEMENTAL JOURNEYS with Sophia Knapp ONLINE CLASS

Tarot Foundations: Elemental Journeys is a grounded, inspiring, and high-touch learning experience designed to help you become fluent in the symbolic language of Tarot. Over the span of four weeks, we’ll explore all 78 cards through the lens of the four classical elements - Fire, Earth, Air, and Water - to understand how the suits, symbols, and archetypes interrelate.

Sophia Knapp is an artist and clairvoyant channel known for her precise, transformative insight and grounded presence. She works with individuals navigating change, offering guidance through psychic perception and the modalities of Tarot and Astrology. Her sessions are practical and strategic, supporting clients in reconnecting with their own clarity, intuition, and inner wisdom. She has worked with thousands of clients worldwide, both in private practice and through spiritual activations for companies including Netflix, Meta, Pinterest, Hulu, Bustle, Converse, and Dôen.

A pioneer in luxury wellness, Sophia introduced intuitive and Tarot programming at Soho House West Hollywood, Little Beach House Malibu, and the Four Seasons Beverly Hills, where she continues to serve as the resident reader. She also offers private sessions in person by appointment at the Four Seasons as part of their Vitality Expert team.

Though she has read for many influential public figures, Sophia does not identify as a “celebrity reader.” She believes we are all inherently worthy, and she brings the same depth of care and presence to every client, whether they have millions of followers or none at all. With Mercury in Aries in the 8th house and a decade in New York shaping her sensibility, she offers a clear, compassionate perspective on the spiritual path.

Sophia’s expression is shaped by lineage, education, and an unusual relationship to sight. Her clairvoyance comes through a maternal line of strong-spirited, artistic women tracing back to her Swedish ancestors who immigrated to the U.S. in the mid-1800s. She often wears her great-aunt Celia’s ring while reading. Celia was a weaver who could remote-view and describe the homes of relatives she had never visited. Sophia herself has lived with vision challenges since childhood, including a non-centered focal point in her left eye. This sensitivity informs the way she perceives subtler dimensions and reads energy. She holds a BFA with honors in Drawing from The Cooper Union, and her fine-art background gives her a natural fluency with symbolism.

As a musician, Sophia has toured the U.S., Europe, and Brazil as a solo artist under her given name and with her bands Lights and Cliffie Swan (Drag City Records). She has shared stages with Bill Callahan, Juana Molina, Jim Jarmusch, Marissa Nadler, Destroyer, and others, performing at venues such as Bowery Ballroom, the Barbican Centre in London, and MoMA PS1. She is currently completing a new full-length album.

Sophia teaches the esoteric arts online and in person, with ongoing classes through the Philosophical Research Society. Based in Topanga Canyon on unceded Tongva and Chumash land, she offers 1:1 sessions globally via Zoom. She is a Pisces Sun in the 7th house, Libra Moon in the 2nd, and Virgo Rising. Outside of work, she spends her time hiking the canyon trails, surfing, visiting Little Beach House Malibu, getting inspired by indie fashion, art, and live music, and sharing unhurried moments with the people she loves. She is also much sillier than she looks in photos. David Bowie is her all-time favorite artist, and her favorite color is see-through.

Whether in session, in class, or on stage, Sophia’s aim is singular: to help others witness and celebrate their truth, splendor, and fullest expression of self.

PRS EVENT POLICIES

• We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone.
• Events are subject to change without notice, including guest speakers and/or performers.
• We encourage you to arrive at least 30 min. before the scheduled event start time to find parking, enjoy the Bookstore and take your seats.
• Please turn off all mobile devices before the show. Talking and texting are not allowed during the events.
• No filming, audio recording or mobile phone recording of events, screenings, concerts or other programs by audience members is allowed.
• There is no smoking permitted on PRS grounds.
• We strongly encourage guests to wear masks to PRS events to prevent the spread of infectious diseases.
• PRS allows Service Animals into the facility under ADA and state guidelines. Animals should not be left unattended at any time. For further details please visit www.ADA.gov. No animals permitted whose sole function is to provide comfort or emotional support, under ADA guidelines and CA Health Code.
• Please do not bring outside food or drink into PRS events.
• Weapons are strictly prohibited at PRS events.

REFUND POLICIES

All sales are final. There are no refunds for PRS events , except in the event of a medical emergency, including but not limited to a positive COVID-19 test. Ticket exchanges may be granted on a case by case basis, pending circumstances.

In the event that PRS is forced to cancel an event entirely, tickets will be refunded or vouchers offered for a rescheduled event.
